Prizes in the Show!

I put two of my lace shawls in the local show and I got first, second and section champion! I'm so surprised! The biggest surprise was the prize -two skeins of 20ply bulky wool from Nundle Mill! Woohoo! Wow. I was so excited.

Double Delight! I spotted this lovely rose hiding near the washing line today (not that I was putting out washing, it has been pouring all day!).  Let's hope the weather cheers up soon! Happy Knitting!

  1. Congratulations!...:) On your knitting.

I love the fragrance of Double Delight. I was trying to remember the name of that rose the other week. I wanted to plant it in my garden. My Mum has big rose garden and she grows Double Delight and other fragrance roses and Im always smelling it when it is in flower and usually take some flowers home with me..:)
My mum Double delight has more yellow on the petals I wonder if it got to do with the ph of the soil?

    1. Yes, I love the fragrance of Double Delight too. I'm not sure of the Ph of the soil, but the rose bush is growing out of my old compost bin and is surrounded by raspberry plants!
